Luciano Pizzella [ Live at Zukunft 11.07.08 @ Royal Uccle ]

1974 born and Naples (Italy) resident, biologist and producer Luciano Pizzella released his first album in 2001 as member of the electronic-ethnic band G.S.U - gruppo socialmente utile with the very hi respected Italian indipendent label Il Manifesto.

After a big break to graduate to university and to work on insect research, Luciano came back to music production in June 2007 with the release of Public House, a 3 track EP for the Cologne based label Italic Records. The 12", a special mix of current minimal dance and oldschool early Detroit techno and Chicago house, finished on the decks of DJs such as Sven Vath, Tiefshwarz and Moguai to name a few and was played in many radio shows as John Digweed's kiss 100. The unexpected success suggested Italic to release in a very short time a second part of Public House proposing other 3 new tracks.

Since that debut, Luciano spread his music worldwide with Italic and other labels obtaining even more good feedback and enthusiastic reviews on magazines such as 365mag and De:bug which charted Biomes EP as one of the best september 2007 records.

The beginning of 2008 pushed up the popularity of this new producer with the release of Pavlov Said for Belgian Dogtown records (N.E.W.S. sublebel): supported on the b-side by a memorable remix of Daso, the record gained huge support by Tiga, Satoshi Tomiie, Hernan Cattaneo and Gregor Tresher, to name a few, and was selected by Anthony Pappa for his Moments compilation. In the meantime, while Luciano was keeping on proposing his liveset and djsets in clubs around Europe, new labels and producer asked him for new original tracks or remixes, as for Estroe, or Satoshi Tomiie that signed him to release "we need it" ep for his Saw recordings, gaining, again, support from great djs like DJ Hell and Sasha.
